RENO OR BUST!!

The 2011 50th Anniversary Reunion will be held at the Peppermill Resort Casino in Reno Nevada, 21 - 25 March 2011.

HERE'S THE EMAIL FROM ART WITH DETAILS
AUGUST 24, 2010

Just got back from my trip to Reno, contract is signed with the Peppermill
Resort/Casino, Rooms are $109 plus tax and  resort fee which covers use of
pools, health club, valet parking, and airport shuttle service etc. I ran the
figures and came up with $133.17 per day cost. Rooms are outstanding...all new
this year.Food is excellent and runs the gamut from expensive in the high
end restaurants to inexpensive in the Coffee Shop which is outstanding and
was the original business which started the whole shebang. The Banquet is
set up for Thursday 24 March and at this juncture looks like the meal will
be in the vicinty of $51 per plate inclusive of gratuity and Tax. For the
rest of your meals there are several restaurants in the facility and
several others nearby.  Marilyn and I can also recommend the Room Service. It
is very competitve with the other eateries in the building and everything we
ordered was excellent.

For those of you flying in, the Airport is about a mile or so away, and
there is a shuttle service between the airport and the Peppermill. There is
also an arrival and departure board at the main entrance of the Peppermill
and you also can get your boarding passes there. So when departing you can
get out at the main entrance to the terminal and go up the stairs/escalator
to security with your boarding pass and gate assignment.  For those driving, I
recommend using the Valet service the day of arrival. If you are going to be
using the car while there, see me and I will show where to park for relatively
easy access to the Tuscany Tower. Sorry guys I forgot to check out
RV parks in the area, I meant to, but forgot. I'm sure they can be found
on line.

Weather permitting we can arrange a golf game and should have enough
vehicles in the group for a couple of foursomes.  Also if any are interested
we can probaly arrange transportation to Tahoe for a lunch.
For those of you who want to spend more time in the area you can come in one
day early or stay another day. There is no checking in on Saturday. If you
depart early there is a $50 departure fee.

Rooms must be reserved by March 8th 2011 1201A.M. That's no later than
2400hrs 7 Mar 11 for you military purists.  Identify yourself as part of our
group and use group code GUSAF 11.  They want name, home address, e-mail
address if applicable.  They say they do not confirm in writing ??? No reason,
Just policy.

RESERVATIONS: 1.866.821.9996 or

Although not set in concrete at this date and because I'm limited to 2
choices for entrees, it looks like steak or chicken, but if there is a real
hue and cry for fish I'll switch to steak or fish. If any of you have a
dietary concern let me know and they will prepare a suitable meal.

Basic schedule is still check-in 3/21/11 check-out 3/25/11 which basically
gives us 2 1/2 days to go over 50 years.

That about covers it for now, more later when I get it sorted out.
