David Kali -- His Last Formation

Dave's funeral service was held in Honolulu on July 6, 2004. The service included comments, musical selections, hymns and a benediction. Maile Reeves, Dave's daughter, shown here following presentation of the photo from our class of the "Missing Man Formation" provided by Luis Baldoni.
Maile was thrilled to receive the photo and to know how much Dave's OCS classmates thought of him. Maile was Dave's primary care giver during his final years. She is a violinist with the Honolulu Symphony and played a touching violin solo accompanied by the piano to honor her Dad.

Dave was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The funeral service was held at the LDS Temple in Honolulu.

The interment was to follow the next day at Punchbowl.

At the National Cemetery of the Pacific: a beautiful day in a peaceful place.

There is no more room for in-ground burials at Punchbowl. However, there are still urn crypts and that's where Dave was buried
