SSgt Frank Montague came to Delta Flt as a Radar Ops type, Sep '60. Upon graduating, Lt Montague was sent to Lowry AFB, CO for Launch Officer tng (Mace B) enroute to Orlando AFB, FL for Combat Crew Tng -- arriving Okinawa, Jun '82. After two and a half years, Frank's stateside assignment was to Little Rock AFB, AR in Jan '65. After SOS, Capt Montague was a crew commander (Titan II) until '69 when he was reassigned to Offutt AFB, NE "...to be a computer programmer," Frank tells us. "I tried this for a year on first generation computers and gave it up to work in computer operations." Frank spent nearly six years at Offutt and retired there, a major. "...I went back to school full-time and got my second bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and taught 6th grade in Bellevue, NE for nine years," he says. "While teaching ...I went to Univ. Nebraska/Lincoln (earning) a masters in Educ Psychology...(and) was a (high school) counselor for 11 years." Fully retiring in '96. Frank and Betty Jo are active in the Bellevue Church of Christ (Frank has been an elder there since '71) and belong to the Christian campers group "Sojourners." Montague's have two sons and four grandchildren.
