OCFC Walter A. Lencki
| A/1C Walt Lencki was a radar operator at Stewart AFB, NY before joining Coca Flt. After OCS, Lt Lencki went to Keesler for Comm/Electronic Off Crs. In 1962, he was assigned to Minot AFB (SAGE) and a year later was sent to Great Falls, MT as Standardization/Training officer. Walt attended SOS en route Tan San Nhut, RVN. From Vietnam, he returned to Keesler AFB for Computer School and Staff Officer Courses. 1968-69 Capt. Lencki was Radar Maint Officer at Dobraberg, Germany (AC&W). In 1970 & '71, Walt was Chief of Maint., 665 ADG, Calumet, MI. Maj. Lencki then served at Osan AB, Korea, 1971-72. Offutt AFB, NE was Walt's last assignment (1972-76); he retired in 1976, a Major w/MSM, JSCM, 2AFCM. After retirement, Walt worked for GE and Lockheed on contract to NASA Ames Research from 1981-94. Walt is divorced, has 5 children, 11 grandchildren. He is active in the Lions Club. He occupies his retirement time with golf and skiing. |
