OCFC Walter A. Lencki
| A/1C Walt Lencki was a radar operator at Stewart AFB, NY before joining Coca Flt. After OCS, Lt Lencki went to Keesler for Comm/Electronic Off Crs. In '62, he was assigned to Minot (SAGE) and a year later was sent to Great Falls, MT as Standardization/Tng officer. Walt attended SOS en route Tan San Nhut, RVN. From Vietnam, he returned to Keesler for Computer Sch and Staff Off Crs. 68 - '69, Capt Lencki was Radar Maint Off at Dobraberg, Germany (AC&W). In '70 & '71, Walt was Ch of Maint, 665 ADG, Calumet, MI. Maj Lencki served at Osan AB, Korea, '71-'72. Offutt AFB, NE was Walt's last assignment ('72-'76); he retired in'76, a major w/MSM, JSCM, 2AFCM. After retirement, Walt worked for GE and Lockheed on contract to NASA Ames Research from '81-'94. Walt is divorced, has 5 children, 11 grandchildren. He is active in the Lions Club; hobbies: golf and skiing. |
