| In December, 1960, Paul Hashimoto donned boards with three stripes and assumed the position of Ops & Tng Officer of the 4th -- the "Friendly Fourth" squadron. Paul graduated in the top quarter of his class. Upon graduation, 2Lt Hashimoto was assigned to Laredo AFB, TX to begin pilot training. Louie Baldoni writes of visiting Paul's widow in 1995 and dining with Paul's son -- an electrical engineer. Records indicate a date of death of May 6, 1987. |
