| TSgt Bob Dryer joined us from Travis AFB, CA. He won 1st Sq's award for best "Bob Newhart" impression, He was elected Honor Council Chairman.. Bob graduated in the top third of his class and was assigned to Harlingen for nav tng and then back to Travis in C-124s. In '65. Bob went to Tachi in C-130s and returned to Travis in C-141s. His SEA tour was in C-130 Gunships at Ubon -- he lost his crew while he was on mid-tour leave. Bob retired in '73 and moved to Florida and dabbled in real estate, ran a sailboat dealership and has been active in several non-profit organizations mostly involving the handicapped. He and Carol (wed '55) have 5 sons and four grandchildren |
