Sondra & Dan at 2007 reunion
"Dan's" AF career started July 1954; A/1C Deibler joined Alpha Flight, Sep 1960. The most oft-heard voice in our upper-class days -- "Sound Adjutant's Call!" -- OCMaj Deibler was our Wing Dir/Admin (Adjutant). After OCS, Lt/Capt Diebler spent 5 years at Lackland in the BMT program. In 1966, he went to Incirlik, Turkey and was then assigned to the DC area (AFTAC) still in the admin/exec business. In 1972, he served as an Exec Officer at Lajes Field, Azores. Langley AFB, VA was Dan's final assignment -- 1TFW/XO. He retired April 1977, a major and "would bet I still have the largest family -- seven children, 23 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren." He and Sondra have maintained a lasting relationship with OCS mates, Ed and Nema Devries.
