A/2C Hal Davis came from Plattsburg AFB, NY, a personnel-type. He married Ann in Aug, 1960. A bum-knee almost determined his fate -- but Deal and Dryer helped Hal with academics and Lt. Davis stayed at Lackland after OCS -- a BMTS training officer and adjutant. In 1964, Hal & Ann moved to Wisconsin for duty with Recruiting Svc. In 1968, Capt. Davis was sent to Vietnam with MACV J2 as an exec officer. Then assigned to Hq, Recruiting Service as Director of Admin until Jan. 1972. (Bootstrap: Texas Lutheran, 1971). 1972-1975, served at Hq MAC, Div Chief, Admin Communications. Hal was selected for Educ w/Industry, 1971 (Eastman Kodak, Rochester, NY.) LtCol Davis completed his AF career as Chief, Admin Sys Div, Hq USAF, in 1979. A&D: Bronze Star, 2MSM, AFCM. After retirement, Hal worked for ABDick until 1992, they move back to Eau Claire, WI, where Hal worked in insurance and contracting. Both are active in Church business, Ann does the newsletter, Hal, does Lay Ministry. "I have become a passionate clay target shooter, deer hunter, and walleye fisherman," Hal says. A drunk driver killed daughter, Sara Lee, in 1985, age 22. Betsy, born prematurely in 1961, lived only a few hours. Son, Anthony, and family (3 wonderful grandsons) live near by.
